6 Huskies heading to All-star game

The NWJHL has announced there will be a league all-star game this year – taking place in Whitecourt.

The game will be an east vs. west format, with players from FSJ, Dawson Creek, Sexsmith, and Beaverlodge representing the West, and Whitecourt, Slave Lake, Grande Prairie, and Peace River in the East.

Taking place on Saturday Jan. 17th – the day will also feature a skills competition, and a banquet, as well as some time to mix with the fans. 21 players will dress for each team, with numbers based on standings a couple of weeks ago.

As there was no game last year, it will be the first NWJHL all-star appearance for all six players.

The West will be coached by Dawson Creek’s Duncan Redfearn.
