Dokie Wind Project receives extension during bankruptcy

The Dokie wind energy project near Chetwynd, has received an extension of its court protection, to hold off creditors and, develop alternatives for financing or, completing the sale of the company.
EarthFirst Canada Inc. has confirmed the Court of Queen’s Bench of Alberta, has granted an extension to its creditor protection, until the 30th of this month.
The initial order was granted on November 4th and, EarthFirst is continuing to pursue restructuring options, which include the sale of its shares, early development projects or assests.
In that regard, EarthFirst expects to engage another advisor, to assist in the potential sale, of certain wind turbines, currently being constructed for the Dokie-1 wind project.
However, that remains subject to the approval of the court and, the companies board of directors.
