Minor injuries for pedestrian hit by truck

The Fort St. John RCMP has confirmed a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle on Thursday afternoon, resulting in minor injuries. At just before 5:30pm. emergency services responded to the accident at the corner of 100th Ave. and 102nd St. Police say a southbound pickup was attempting to turn left onto 100th Ave, when it struck the pedestrian. The driver did remain on scene, while the pedestrian was transported to Fort St. John hospital, and released later in the evening. The investigation has concluded, with the driver being issued a ticket for failing to yield to a pedestrian.
