More snow expected today

Although there’s no official estimate yet from Environment Canada, it appears about three to four centimeters of snow and, a strong northwestly wind, resulted in more travel problems in the local area, yesterday afternoon and over night.

There are no reports of any serious injury accidents, as a result of the poor road conditions and limited visibility.

However, the RCMP did report some traffic disruption, between four and five o’clock yesterday afternoon, following a collision at the Baldonnel overpass, on the Alaska Highway, southeast of the city.

Environment Canada says there’s a chance of more flurries this morning but, skies should clear overnight and remain sunny through the weekend.
