Pimms Production Atom Flyers win Sunday in Spirit River

The Pimm’s Production Atom Flyers (9 year olds) posted their first All Peace League Win on Sunday, January 25, 2009 in Spirit River against the Rangers.  Game results are as follows:
 
Joel Bourgeois opened the scoring at 17:42 of the first with an assist from Teagan McMullen.  10 minutes later, Spencer Graham banged in a rebound from a shot from Thomas Pope.  Trey Hipkiss put the Flyers up 3-0 at 4:22 of the first unassisted before Spirit River got on the board with 17 seconds left in the first.
 
The Spirit River Rangers tied the game with 2 unanswered goals in the second before Jacob Lang put the Flyers back in the lead with a pass from Aaron Kosinsky.  Austin Crossley gave the Flyers a 2 goal lead after Bourgeois set him up in the slot and he rang one in off the crossbar.  McMullen scored on his own rebound with 1:55 left in the second to give the Flyers a 3 goal lead going into the third.
 
The Ranger came within 2 at 15:43 of the third.  FSJ’s Adam Bowie scored the Flyers 7th goal with assists to Hipkiss and Crossley at 11:16 left in regulation.  Spirit River scored once more but ran out of time.
 
Final score was Fort St. John Pimm’s Production Atom Flyers  – 7, to Sprit River Rangers  – 5.
 
The win was a result of a combined team effort for the full 60 minutes of play.  A total of 9 players got points in the game, and both Coleman McCaffrey and Jessie McArthur played strong in net as they shared the win.
