The Fort St. John RCMP have arrested Donald John Paul Kocurek for breach of his probation order.

A total of 8 charges were approved against Mr. Kocurek who has been remanded in custody until March 16, 2009. Kocurek was convicted in 2006 of assault, two counts of assault with a weapon, resist arrest, dangerous driving, flight from police, possession of controlled susbstance and possession of proceeds of crime.

He has also had numerous other convictions including sexual assault dating back to 1989. Kocurek is considered a high risk to re-offend and will be monitered by the RCMP Crime Reduction Unit once he has been released.
