Salvation Army Kettle Drive a success

The Salvation Army is grateful for the support during its annual Kettle Drive and letter campaign.

Despite not reaching its 300 thousand dollar goal, both fundraisers brought in 170 thousand dollars combined.

Volunteer Isobel Lippers says the operation couldn’t continue if it weren’t for the volunteers and generous donations.

The Salvation Army will be opening a new cold-weather drop-in shelter today. The shelter will give people a warm bed when the temperature dips.

The organization is looking for monetary donations as well as moose meat. They will hand out the meat along with other food to people in need.
