The Quality Wind Project shouldn’t encounter too many problems when it goes into its application review early this year.
The project began in December 2005, when the first meterogical tower went up near Tumbler Ridge.
Public and Government Affairs Manager Jay Shukin explains why the project took so long to come together.
Shukin presented information yesterday to the PRRD pointing out all power generated will be sold to BC Hydro. He added there’s every reason to be believe the right elements are in place to ensure the projects success.
The assessment update detailed the location and key biophysical components of the project, such as its effects on surface water quality, and migratory animals.
If all goes well, construction will start in 2010 and likely continue to fall 2012.
