Wind chill warning for
B.C. north Peace River issued

Strong winds combined with cold temperatures are producing very cold wind chill of minus 40 to minus 45.

This is a warning that extreme wind chill conditions are expected or occurring in these regions. Monitor weather conditions..Listen for updated statements.

A strong moisture laden pacific frontal system has spread heavy snow into the British Columbia interior. 10 to 20 cm snow has fallen over the above mentioned regions last night and an additional 5 to 10 cm is expected this morning before it tapers to scattered flurries.

An Arctic front has moved into Peace region bringing strong winds and cold temperatures. Cold wind chill of minus 40 to minus 45 is expected behind the Arctic front.
