Another youth approached by suspicious male

The RCMP have received another complaint regarding a suspicious person.

The complaint came following an incident near Pickell Park on 106th street and 102nd avenue on Wednesday February 18th at around 3:20pm.  An adolescent male told police that he was approached by a passenger in an older green van who asked him if he would like a ride home.

The youth declined the offer and said the male got out of the green van and continued to follow him on foot for a short distance and then returned to the van.

The suspect van is described as an older model Ford with tinted windows, a black hood and described as having a lift.  The youth also described the male suspect as being around 50 years old with short balding gray hair, sun glasses, wearing a white t-shirt, long black shorts and black sneakers.

The drivers of the green van was described as a twenty year old male with glasses and a mustache.

If you have any information about this incident, please contact the RCMP at 250-787-8100 or call Crimestoppers.
