Crash at Farmington on Alaska Highway

We are getting a grim reminder this morning, that it’s still winter.

Five centimeters of snow are in the forecast the temperature has now fallen three degrees below the seasonal norm and the North wind is up to 30 to 40 kilometers per hour.

We’ve also had our first confirmation of negative consequences on the highways.

An accident near the Farmington store, on the Alaska Highway did result in a traffic halt but the RCMP in Dawson Creek told us just minutes ago, the highway has now been reopened to one lane alternating traffic.

Nevertheless, you should obviously still be prepared for delays, if you’re headed in that direction.
