Fort St. John’s Active Learning initiatives and the Sub-Zero running club have joined together to bring two free opportunities to get you moving.

SportsMed BC is offering 30 people full online training support to help individuals fulfill walking or running goals. Weekly coaching tips from Olympian Lynn Kanuka, a training log book and a detailed 13 week training program is included in the free program. This program is meant to prepare people for the Vancouver Sun Run on April 19th.

There is also a similar program called Walk This Way which is an 8 week training program. Anyone who walks or is interested in walking is invited to sign up. Once complete, walkers will be ready for the Fort St. John Spring Runoff Road Race and Walk for Diabetes on April 5th, 2009.

Anyone can sign up for the programs, and aren’t required to participate in the running or walking events.
