Flyers play home game on the road !
The Tier II Midget Flyers continued All Peace League play with a home game against  the Rycroft Sharks Saturday afternoon in Taylor.

The two teams traded chances over the first six minutes before the visitors broke the goose egg with a tally at the 13:41 mark. The Sharks then took control of the period with two more goals in the next two minutes to take a 3-0 lead. The Flyers continued to work hard and with 5:17 remaining, Brennan Straiger potted the puck backhand behind the Sharks goalie. Home team momentum was short lived as Rycroft regained their 3 goal lead 53 seconds later and took that lead into the break.

The Sharks came out hungry in the second period, scoring 25 seconds in. The Flyers began to press and turned up the physical play over an eight minute stretch. With  eleven minutes remaining in the period, the Flyers were assessed two two minute penalties following a scuffle after the whistle. The Rycroft Sharks made the most of their oppertunity, scoring on both power plays to take a commanding 7-1 lead.
The hometown Flyers fought back with a power play goal of their own on a Beau. Lancaster goal assisted by Brett Young at the 5:42 mark.

Again the Sharks responded , scoring twice prior to the end of the period to hold a 9-2 lead with one period to play.

The pace slowed down in the third and ended with no further scoring. The Sharks skated away with the 9-2 win. Craig Wozniak suffered the loss for FSJ.
 The Sharks swept the season series 5-0.
