British Columbia’s 2009 budget was released Tuesday afternoon and its main focus was infrastructure funding.

Minister of Energy, Mines and Petroleum Resources Blair Lekstrom says he is happy with the results. [asset|aid=955|format=mp3player|formatter=asset_bonus|title=89db253f38bffc98be56b8975b52e599-Blair Lekstrom 1_2_Pub.mp3]

The budget includes 9 million dollars for the Peace Region Fair Share agreement, $94 million for rural resource roads, and an increase to the rural homeowner grant up to 200 dollars. Mr. Lekstrom says he believes the two year deficit was the best option given the province’s circumstance.
