More than 900 residents respond to Site C

The Site C Round Two Consultation summary shows over 900 residents participated in the report.

BC Hydro spokesperson David Conway says the summary shows peoples main concern was the proposed dam’s local impact. [asset|aid=951|format=mp3player|formatter=asset_bonus|title=7c3d1d5201c793da3f1c818c1806c581-David Conway 1_1_Pub.mp3]

More than 300 suggestions for an alternative for Site C were submitted during the consultations. Mr. Conway says the suggestions will be sent to government along with environmental, technical and financial information in late 2009. Stage three is an approximate two year environment assessment. It will come next should the government approve.
