STARS stats same as last year

The number of missions remains the same for the Shock Trauma Air Rescue Society compared to last year.

Last January, scene calls totaled 61 percent; transfers from rural facilities were 37 percent, while search and rescue calls consumed two percent of the total missions.

Representative for STARS Glenda Farnden presented the updates and statistics to the Peace River Regional District on Thursday afternoon. She asked the directors to consider regional support for STARS services at two dollars per capita. The directors will consider her request at an upcoming meeting.
