There’s still no word of a verdict in the Prince George second degree murder trial of 30 year old Leonard Freedom Ballantyne.

He’s charged with death of 27 year old Neil McNamara, who died from shotgun stomach wounds received in a Fort St. John apartment complex in September of 2006.

The jury got the case last Friday afternoon and the period of jury deliberations is being cited by some obvservers as the longest for a Prince George jury trial in recent memory.
