We are getting a grim reminder today, that it’s still winter.

Five centimeters of snow are in the forecast, the temperature has now fallen about five degrees, below the seasonal norm and, the North wind is still up, to about to 30 kilometers per hour.

We’ve also had at least one injury traffic accident, that may have been the result of the weather deterioration in the region.

It’s believed to have occurred near eight o’clock this morning on the Alaska Highway in the area of the Farmington store.

Latest reports from the Dawson Creek RCMP suggest three vehicles were involved and the road was closed for an unspecified period.

However, it was reopened just before nine o’clock to one lane alternating traffic and then later this morning, fully reopened.

Police have released no other details except to say, the injuries were minor.
