Avalanche courses offered in FSJ

The North Land Trail Blazers Snowmobile Club and the City of Fort St. John are holding an avalanche safety course.

With the amount of avalanche-related snowmobile deaths, the club says there is a need for the course.

The 2008-2009 club members can participate in the one-day course for a $15.00 fee per person.

Non-members can attend at a cost of $25.00 per person.

The course will be held at the clubs Chalet at Monteny Park on March 28 from 9:00am until 5:00pm.

The club will put on a two day Avalanche Skill Training course for $200.00 if there is enough interest.
