Floyd Polehoykie won the first race of the Blizzard season, Sunday, in a close sprint over Kevin Shaw and Barb Polehoykie. Cam Chiorando was 4th and Pat Ferris 5th. 
    They completed the shortened 8 km event at 19:34 minutes. The roads were snowy with -11 temps.
    Rob Moe did the 18 km distance at 42:22 minutes.
       Next Up: The Blizzard Bike Club kicks off its 2009 season with the tough Roubaix (pron:Roo-Bay) Cup Series, Sunday, starting at the Baldonnel School at 2 pm. Riders will do either the short 20 k event or the trophy distance of 40 km.
