VICTORIA, B.C. - The recent increase in COVID-19 cases in B.C. was expected, says Dr. Henry.

The Fort St. John RCMP have arrested a man in connection with Project Salvo.

The individual was arrested Wednesday after the National Child Exploitation Coordination Centre asked the Fort St. John RCMP to execute a warrant.

Officers from the RCMP and 35 other police departments from coast to coast have made a series of arrests in this child-sex investigation. 

In total 11 people have been arrested in BC, including people in Prince George, Quesnel, Victoria, Richmond and other lower mainland communities.

Police also say more arrests are pending in what is being called, the country’s largest ever coordinated investigation of Internet-based child sex abuse.
