Three Chetwynd residents killed in collision near Dawson Creek

Dawson Creek RCMP have released the names of the three Chetwynd residents killed Saturday morning in a two vehicle collision on Highway 97S about 30 KM south of Dawson Creek.

Deceased are:

Terry Norris, 50 years old of Chetwynd

Candice Norris, 25 years old of Chetwynd

Darryl Marshall, 29 years old of Chetwynd

The three deceased were traveling to Dawson Creek to attend a funeral.

RCMP say a northbound passenger vehicle lost control and collided with a south bound pickup truck. The damage to both vehicles was catastrophic and all occupants in the passenger vehicle were killed upon impact.

Three occupants from the Pickup were transported to Dawson Creek hospital and released.

Highway 97S was closed for about six hours while the RCMP conducted the investigation. The accident has since been cleaned up and the highway is open again.
