The agricultural community of Dawson Creek and area will see new opportunities in the agricultural industry thanks to a $2 million investment in a liquid biofuels project.

Peace Biofuels Ltd. (PBL) of Dawson Creek, has been approved for provincial funding of $2 million on a proposed $60 million project to construct a 40 million litre canola biodiesel plant in Dawson Creek, producing canola oil from an extraction plant integrated with the biodiesel plant.

The project will create 200 jobs during construction and will employ more than 100 workers when in full operation.
