Bucknall wins first BBC Duathlon of season

The first Duathlon of the new Blizzard Bike Club series took place on Tuesday night, at Baldonnel School.

Sixteen participants braved the chilly temperatures to run 2km, bike 8 km, and run a further 2km.   Four participants were doing their very first duathlon, and a few people achieved very good times for this early in the season.

The first five finishers were are follows:

Billy Bucknall with a time of 29:07

Pat Ferris 32:37

Cam Chiorando 32:41

Kathryn Fairweather 33:48

Sandy McDonald 34:04.

Other racers were Christina Woodruff, Simon Andrews, Becky Keirm, Brandon Joyce, Clayton Woodruff, Floyd Polehoykie, Lisa Verbisky, Roger St. Jean, Barb Polehoykie, Russ Wilson, and Owen Giebelhaus.

The next Blizzard Duathlon will take place on Tuesday, May 5th at Baldonnel School.
