The Dawson Creek RCMP in conjunction with South Peace Traffic Services conducted several traffic stops during April 17th and 18th.
As a result, 25 drivers were issued 24 hour suspensions for being under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs. Ten individuals are facing criminal charges of impaired driving.
Other people were dealt with in respect to traffic violations and other criminal code offences, including individuals being arrested on outstanding warrants.
The Dawson Creek RCMP say that as the weather improves, people are more inclined to be involved in many outdoor activities. As a result, many individuals consume liquor during these social events, and may be tempted to drive.
