Several local runners competed in the Unchaga Run in the Peace Road Race on April 26th.  The race took place near Grimshaw along the Peace River.  Here are the results from Fort St. John runners.
 
10KM distance, Rebecca Newsham 20-29Female  8th in age group, with 1:22:02
 
20KM distance:
 
Barb Polehoykie 40-49 Female, 2nd in age group with 1:50:57
 
Melissa Bryant 30-39 Female, 2nd in age group with 1:52:12
 
Owen Giebelhaus 50 plus Male, 3rd in age group with 1:58:39
 
Gord Harris 50 plus Male, 1st in age group and tied for 1st overall with 1:31:40
 
The 20km road race included a hill roughly equivalent to running from Taylor to the top of the north Taylor Hill and back down again!
