Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Fort St. John held the 18th annual Bowl for Kids Sake Sunday afternoon.

A total of $27,848 was raised for the local group by over 30 teams of bowlers at Fort Bowling Lanes.  The Devon Canada Team raised the most at just over $5,000 and Kari Alexander from that team alone collected over $1,700.  For her efforts Central Mountain Air will provide Kari with flights for two anywhere CMA flies.

The Mayor Fort St. John and Mayor of the District of Taylor had booth challenged each other to see which team could raise the most.  Taylor came out on top, and so Fort St. John Council will have to wear District of Taylor shirts at a future Fort St. John Council meeting.

Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Fort St. John would like to thank all the bowlers and sponsors for making this event such a success.  A big thank you goes out to the staff at Fort Bowling Lanes for all their help.
