Flyers GM Rob Larson confirmed on Wednesday, that the Dawson Creek Sr. Canucks will re-enter the North Peace Hockey League next season.

Organizers from Dawson Creek made a presentation to league officials at a meeting on Tuesday night, and have paid their registration fee, meaning the team is officially back in the NPHL. Geographically, the Sr. Canucks would likely play in the NPHL’s Western Division, along with Fort St. John, Spirit River, Grande Prairie, and Hythe. But, divisional alignment and the amount of interlocking play are still to be determined for the 2009/10 season.

For now, the league is happy to have another team, and the Flyers are happy to renew an old rivalry with a familiar foe.
