Trade Show had over 11,000 visitors

As would likely be the case in virtually every community in the country, Fort St. John area residents proved on Saturday, there’s nothing like the appearance of a hockey legend to spike the attedance at a trade show.

The 37th annual trade show wrapped up last night with a final 3-day attendance total of 11,306. That’s about 200 less than last year but, indications are it could have been much less, had it not been for number nine.

Thanks to Western Financial Group Mr. Hockey, Gordie Howe, was at the show on Saturday and, better than 50 percent of those who attended, nearly 6,400, turned out on that day.

Trade Show Manager Gene Daniel, also reports that Amy Harper, Laszlo Pinter, Elgin Hunt and Kayden Morris were the major door prize winners.
