This map from BC Hydro shows the approximate area effected by the power outage.

BC Hydro has restored power to some areas this morning and now only 535 customers are without power.

Community Interviews with Moose FM

Hydro says the power is out in an area east of the Alaska Highway and north of Sunnyside Drive.  The outage has been caused by an equipment failure and BC Hydro hopes to have power restored by 11am.

The power went out at approximately 3:40am and originally effected more than 800 customers.
