The Fort St. John RCMP are reporting an attempted abduction of a young female in Kin Park as being false.

Police were able to locate the male suspect nearby.  The young girl was in fact not abducted, nor was an abduction attempt made.  The girl made it safely home.  Through investigation police learned the incident was a misunderstanding.

The male suspect is a student at Northern Lights College and does not have English as his first language.  The male had approached the girl only to talk with her and her friends.
