First Day Advanced Voter Stats

The numbers are in from Elections BC on the first day of advance voting, for next Tuesday’s provincial election.

They show that province-wide, 83,676 people cast ballots on Wednesday and that’s about 2.8 percent, of the more than 2,900,000 elgibile to vote.

Locally, 588 of the 22,577 elgibile voters in Peace River North went to the polls on Wednesday.

In Peace River South, where the eligibility total is 16,971, the turn-out Wednesday was 443.

The advance polls are again open Friday and Saturday, from 8am to 8pm.

Once again your reminded, in Fort St. John the polling station is located, at an east side entrance, of the Stonebridge Hotel. Elsewhere, in the local riding, you can vote at…the District Office in Taylor…the Pearkes {Parks} Centre in Hudson’s Hope…and, the Community Centre in Fort Nelson.
