**Update – the Grande Prairie RCMP now say the 29 year old male was released late Thursday night and has not been charged.  The RCMP say thier investigation continues.

Grande Prairie RCMP say they have arrested a 29 year old Grande Prairie man after a 3 month investigation into a camera being located in a local hospital washroom. 

The accused is an employee at the hospital,  but is not a care provider.  The male was arrested shortly after 11:00 a.m. Thursday at the facility, where a search warrant was executed within his work area.  A second search warrant was executed at the suspect’s residence on the east side of Grande Prairie.

The accused is facing one count of Voyeurism, Section 162 of the Criminal Code, and a Judicial Interim Release Hearing was held late Thursday.

The investigation began in January of 2009, after a concealed camera was located in a garbage can within a washroom toilet stall at the hospital.
