Hundreds of dogs in Taylor this weekend

You might notice an increase of wagging tails in Taylor this weekend.

That’s because the town is hosting the Annual Fort St. John Kennel Club Dog Show, from Saturday to Monday.

President of the local Kennel Club, Donna Fox, says there are around 160 to 175 dogs being showed every day.

She says dogs who are registered with the Canadian Kennel Club can enter the prestigious competition.

Fox says competitors are coming from all over Canada to show their dogs. Fox says there are a number of prizes to be won.

The owner of the top dog who earns Best in Show wins a 100 dollar cash prize, and best puppy wins 50 dollars. The entire event is free to watch.It will be held at the Taylor Arena, and the event begins at nine in the morning on Saturday.
