Staff from a local business will be picking up litter along the Community Trail in Fort St. John.

This Saturday, volunteers from TELUS in Fort St. John will be celebrating the ‘TELUS Day of Service’ by cleaning up the trail.

Service Manager Duane Brooks says around a dozen members will be participating. He says the area is particularly important to him because he uses the trail.

This is the fourth annual TELUS Day of Service. In the past, businesses throughout Canada focused on poverty, youth initiatives, and environmental volunteering.

Brooks says when all the TELUS dealers team up throughout Canada, a big difference can be made.

Volunteers will be picking up litter from 10 in the morning until Noon on Saturday.
