The North Central Municipal Association will be officially changing its name.

At the recent convention in Dawson Creek, local government leader from across the north voted unanimously to change their name from the NCMA to the North Central Local Government Association.

NCMA President Karen Goodings said the proposed name will be much more inclusive of all local governments including Regional Districts and First Nations, and will more accurately reflect participating memberships.
