RCMP release more details on Sunday's Alaska Highway Accident

The Dawson Creek RCMP have released a few more details on a serious motor vehicle accident that occurred Sunday afternoon near Farmington.

The accident happened shortly after 2pm on highway 97 approximately 3km north of the Farmington Store.  The preliminary investigation has revealed two vehicles collided head on.  The occupants of both vehicles were trapped and required extrication by the fire department.

The victims sustained serious, but non life threatening injuries.

According to eye witnesses, one vehicle contained a male occupant, while the other contained two females and one young child.

The Highway was closed from approximately 2:30pm until around 8pm Sunday while the RCMP conducted their investigation.
