The medical clinic in Taylor is finally set to open, now that a joint partnership with the Fort St. John medical clinic has been reached.

The District of Taylor built the clinic two years ago, but since then has been unable to find doctors to staff it.

Mayor Fred Jarvis was out of town for the announcement, but Councilor Betty Ponto says she is pleased with the new partnership.

The clinic will be open Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 9am to 12pm. There will be 11 doctors attending the clinic on rotating intervals, as well as two assistants on hand, who will help both patients and doctors.

The new facility is located right beside the Taylor Public Library.

Ponto says she is confident there will be a big demand on the clinic, and that it will be operating full-time in the near future.
