Teen struck while riding bike; Driver runs

A teenage male was struck by a truck while riding his bike Monday afternoon.

At approximately 3:15pm on Monday May 25th, a teenage male was struck while riding his bike on the sidewalk on 100th street near CIBC.  

Witnesses report that the truck involved struck the male as he attempted to exit the alley behind CIBC onto 100th street.  The suspect vehicle is described as a green 90’s Chevrolet extended cab pick up truck with a dent on the truck’s box, in front of the rear wheel well on the passenger’s side.

Witnesses reported that a female was driving at the time of the collision and that a male was sitting in the passenger’s seat.  The truck fled the scene.

The Fort St. John RCMP are attempting to identify the vehicle as well as the driver in regards to this incident. If you have any information regarding this, contact the RCMP at 250-787-8140 or Crimestoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS

The teen suffered minor injuries from the accident.
