Over 85 athletes took part in the 19th annual Alaska Highway Track and Field Meet on Saturday.

A total of 15 meet records were broken with the athletes receiving merchandise prizes for their record breaking efforts.

Fort St. John’s Lien Miller-Jeanotte led the assault on the record book by breaking the 13 year old boys records in the shotput, discus and javelin.

On the girl’s side Dawson Creek’s Mikayla Capelle broke the 9 year old girls records in the shotput and 60 meter dash.

Windy conditions and cool temperatures did not deter the athletes while spectators cheered from wherever they could find shelter from the wind.

The Sub Zero Track and Field Club would like to thank all the volunteers and sponsors who helped make the meet a success.
