Crosses being stolen from Highway 43

The Grande Prairie RCMP are looking for the public’s assistance to help solve a number of thefts.

Crosses that mark human loss as the result of fatality collisions on Highway 43 between Grande Prairie to the B.C. border, have gone missing.

In particular, police received a recent complaint of a cross that has gone missing from Range Road 124 and Highway 43 some time between May 29th at 5:00 p.m. and 12:00 noon on May 30.

The thefts have left families and survivors of these tragic incidents extremely distraught.
