Fort St. John’s curbside recycling collection service is being expanded to all city residents.

The Eco-Depot launched its pilot project last fall and it was extended and expanded going into the New Year. As a result residents who have their garbage collected on Tuesday and Thursday are now eligble to sign-up for the service but it will be extended citywide on July first.

Recycling is collected bi-weekly on the same day as garbage collection…and the cost is 15 dollars a month for a three month subscription…or 12 dollars a month for either six month or one year subscriptions.

There is no bag limit for the service and new participants will receive a curbside recycling starter kit, which includes a supply of blue bags and information on accepted materials and sorting.

To register for the service you can call the Eco-Depot at 250-785-03-00 or, go online at www.ecodepotrecycling.com.
