Fallen Four relay this weekend in Alberta

Marathon runners may be interested in a special event this weekend in Northwestern Alberta.

The very first ‘Fallen-Four’ relay and marathon will take place in the communities of Whitecourt and Mayerthorpe, in honour of the four Mounties killed in the area in 2005.

The weekend feautres a kids marathon, a fun run, a 4 person team relay, and the marathon itself.

The route for Sunday’s Marathon runs from Mayerthorpe to Whitecourt – exactly 42 kilometres apart (the official distance of a marathon).
