Grande Prairie RCMP release name of man charged in connection with found body

The Grande Prairie RCMP have released the name of a man charged in connection to human remains which were found in the community.

Christopher Francis Podruzny is 21 years old and is charged with one count of indignity to a body. Podruzny is also facing 3 counts of breach of recognizance. He will remain in custody until his first court appearance on June 29th. The 14 year old also charged in connection with the body will also make her first court appearance the same day.

The body still remains unidentified after it was discovered on June 21st.

At this time the Grande Prairie RCMP won’t say if the disappearance of 19 year old Alysa Zatelny is connected to the discovery of the body. Alysa went missing on June 13th, two days after she was last seen by a friend.
