Local girl heading to Miss Canada Petite competition

A local girl will be representing Northern British Columbia at the Miss Canada Petite competition in Toronto.

Thea Theobald stands five foot, five inches. She was titled Miss Petite Northern British Columbia, and will be representing the region in August.

She says she isn’t nervous about the upcoming competition.

Theobald says she will be helping out with the Wheels in Motion Day and the Crime Stoppers Golf Tournament, and is searching for more events to attend.

Theobald is currently employed with a local oil company, and says she is thinking about taking a Medical Transcription Course.

She says each contestant is asked to choose a charity to support.

Theobald will be competing with 20 other girls from around Canada.

The competition is on August 23rd at the Leah Posluns Theater in Toronto. There will be a evening wear, swimsuit and talent competition.
