The Premier made the announcement after Liberal MLA’s were sworn in Monday afternoon.  This included newly elected Peace River North MLA Pat Pimm and Peace River South MLA Blair Lekstrom.

Campbell says his government will also table a new budget on September 1st.

Campbell says the government will try to maintain its goal of keeping the deficit at 495 million dollars, but he warns that when facts change, the government must also make changes.

Some observers have said it will almost impossible for the government to hold the deficit to 495 million dollars amid the recession and the actual number could be as high as two billion.
