The Fort St. John Senior Flyers are getting ready to host the 2010 Allan Cup in Fort St. John.

To kick off the excitement, the Flyers are holding a special fundraising dinner Saturday June 20th at the Fort St. John Legion. The dinner will include steak and lobster flown in fresh from the east coast. Proceeds from the dinner will help the Senior Flyers start to plan for this once in a lifetime event.

Tickets are $100 each and available at M&M Meats in the Totem Mall or at Munro Supply located on 89th avenue.

Canada’s oldest amateur hockey championship will be held in Fort St. John April 19th-26th, 2010. Senior AAA hockey teams from all over Canada will compete with the host Fort St. John Senior Flyers in hopes of becoming Canada’s 102nd senior hockey champions.

Senior AAA hockey offers a great brand of elite hockey that sees a variety of players with different hockey backgrounds. Many players will have either NHL, AHL, WHL or other semi-professional experience, as well as players who were recently local Jr.A and Jr.B stars from around the province.
