Pat Ferris wins the Terry Stone Memorial

Pat Ferris was the repeat winner of the 2nd Annual Terry Stone Memorial 40 k time trial, in Hudson’s Hope, BC. He had a time of 1:05:14 hours. Bob Andrews was second at 1:06:41 with Gord “the Hammer’ Harris only 14 seconds back in third.

Jolea Bilodeau won the women’s event with a time of 1:18:16, just 27 seconds ahead of Barb Polehoykie.

The route was hilly and hot, along the historic Peace River. The router had a number of climbs and sharp corners making it tough and interesting, especially with local wild life making appearances.
Other times were 4th Gilbert Bilodeau at 1:08:14, Richard Wood 1:12:04, Wim Kok 1:12:48, Francis Plum 1:14:47, Rob Scorey 1:15:13, Ken Nix dodged an errant black bear to get 1:15:24, Trevor McDonnell 1:24:28 and Owen Giebelhaus 1:20:20. Floyd Polehoykie did 43:30 for the 20 km.

Colter Young finished 31st overall at the multi stage Tour Abitibi in Quebec. This is a very difficult international stage race featuring 150 of some of the best junior riders in the world.

-Monday Aug 3 is the Ole Lake road race and BBQ at 10:00 am.
Wim Kok is off to Germany for a 1400 km Randonneur and Stephen Ferris is in Calgary for the Tour of Bowness.
