A Vancouver-based production company is visiting Taylor to see if the town is suitable for a possible documentary.

While the documentary is still in its research stage, the plan is to feature a town that has chosen to lose weight and get healthy.

Producer Nicole Lawson from Force Four Entertainment says crews plan to hold a public meeting to get resident’s input on the idea.

She says Taylor is being considered because of its healthy programs and initiatives already in place.

Director of Community Services Keir Gervais says there are plenty of active living programs in the community.

He says a recent Yoga program was well attended, and the town will be looking at more holistic forms of active living.

Meanwhile, Lawson says Taylor is one of three communities across Canada that has been chosen for the study. She says Force Four will be looking to see if there is an appetite for participation.

The public drop-in session will be held at the Taylor Community Hall on July 16th at 7 pm. All residents of Taylor are invited to attend.
