Colter Young celebrated his being named to the Canada Games Cycling Team by winning the S & S Turbines hill climb, Sunday , and smashing the old course record along the way. He had a time of 20:30 minutes, improving on Robin Baillie’s record time of 21:15, set last year, on the Bear Flats 8.4 km route.

Sven Svenson was second at 23:27, Gilbert Bilodeau third at 24:40, Pat Ferris 4th at 25:26 and Peter King 5th at 25:42.

Darren Guliov was 6th at 28:56, Sandy McDonald 29:35, Jolea Bilodeau 30:53, Francis Plum 32:14, Owen Giebelhaus 32:25 and Kathryn Fairweather 32:43. Two riders did not finish, vowing to conquer the hill next year.

News from Away: Bob Andrews was second in Masters C and the Saskatchewan provincial time trial championships in Regina.
No word at press time on results from the Skeena Challenge in Terrace where Kevin Fell and Ken Nix were racing.

-Thursday Baldonnel time trial at 7 pm.
-Sunday is the first Mountain bike race of the season starting at the new Beatton River course at 10:00 am. Local competition will be tough as Sven Svenson will be racing the series and is the 2007 National Mountain Bike Champion.
